Clever Wedding Guest Book Alternatives
The secret to a memorable and successful wedding is in the wedding accessories. One perfect example is the guest book. There is the traditional satin or silk bound, cream colored book with numbered and lined pages complete with instructions on that for which the bride and groom are asking such as the address and phone number in addition to the name of each guest. On the other end of the spectrum, a simple notebook has been known to be used as a guest book. These are not the only options. There are many guest book alternatives that can serve as the one detail that makes a wedding remarkable.
A guest book should reflect the couple’s special style. Being creative is the way to achieve this. Many couples have created their own guest books. One particular couple gathered together 30 sheets of paper in varying shades of the wedding’s color scheme: purple. Then, using cardboard wrapped in royal purple satin, they bound the book with white ribbon tied in bows at the top and bottom of the book. The guests found a beautiful handmade guest book with a feather quill and a bottle of purple ink. The ensemble got rave reviews.
It should be mentioned that the guest book need not be a book at all. Another option is a set of stationary. Each guest writes out a card including a signature. These are then placed in a large fish bowl or decorated box. Instructions for specific information are written on a piece of the stationary. A video or audio guest book is also effective and even entertaining as long as the guests are informed that they are being filmed and for what purpose and what is expected. Any of these unique wedding accessories would be a sure way to make a wedding memorable and a complete success.
