Secret Formula To Winning The Lotto

February 11th, 2010 No comments

Twenty-five million Filipinos were attracted to bet on the largest pot ever in the history of Philippine lottery. The pot was estimated to have reached its largest as of February 22, 2009 exceeding all other records. A wide variety of Filipinos from long time bettors to first time bettors, hope to emulate the construction worker from Novaliches, Quezon City, who won an estimated of 249 million pesos in the 6/49 Philippine Lotto. The Philippine government runs the Philippine lotto through the PCSO (Philippine Charity sweepstakes office).

If we use statistics to find out ones chances winning the 6/49 Philippine Lotto the numbers will show how slim those chances are. There are six numbers which will be randomly chosen from a group of 49 digits and the odds of getting the right digit is 10,068,347,520. This is computed as follows, 49x48x47x46x45x44 = 10,068,347,520. This means that ones chances of winning the Philippine 6/49 lotto is one in 10 billion.

I do not have any liking to gambling nor do I have any plan to bet in the future. I am only blogging about this is because of the statistics and the chaos involved in it. With near to impossible chances of winning the lottery, you may ask what fool proof ways of winning the Philippine lottery? Well, for now, I came up of two ways to do it.

1.) Invest all your wealth on all possible combinations – To put it simply, bet on all 10 billion combinations by spending around 201 billion Philippine pesos at P 20 per combination bought. Now since you have betted on all possible combinations you will surely win the lottery.

But before you even consider investing your billions in the lottery consider the following. 1.)P 320 million doesn’t always come around. 2.) P 320 million is 627 times less than 201 billion which means you have to win 627 times more to at least recover your cost. 3.) It also does not guarantee that you will be the sole winner. So investing in all possible combinations does guarantee winning the lottery but profiting from it is no doubt unprofitable.

2.) List all possible combinations for investment aside from gambling and invest on it. – According to my barber he has betted in the Philippine lotto faithfully for seven years already. Yet in those seven years he has never won a single peso. Every year he spends nearly P 7, 000 for betting. In the span of seven years that is roughly P 49, 000 spent in gambling alone.

But if he had placed that P 7, 000.00 per year in a time deposit account with an interest of 1.25 to 2.25 % per annum, his money would have probably grown to around P 48, 000 or more after seven years.

Furthermore, if he had invest that P 7, 000.00 in stocks wisely chosen, just like Warren Buffet, his money would have yielded more than P 89,000+ (15 % compounded return per annum) to a staggering P 160,000+. (30 % compounded return per annum)

So those are my secret formula to win the lotto. To all gamblers, “Good Luck” (I don’t believe in it though) you are going to need lots of it.

Best Vertical Jump Program – 3 Mistakes To Avoid When Choosing

February 10th, 2010 No comments

Figuring out the best vertical jump program can be nothing short of a miracle, mainly because there are so many options. When I was in the market for a program to increase my vertical leap, I figured out that there are 3 mistakes you want to avoid:

1. Fees for coaching – watch out for “coaching” fees when you are looking for the best vertical jump program. While the coaching is not really a big issue, the way it is structured can be. The fees charged can sometimes be outrageous and the details are often hidden.

For example, I found that some vertical jump programs charged between $10-$20 per month for coaching. But some of the others charged well over $150 per month! A huge disparity to say the least. And oftentimes, the fees for this “coaching” were buried somewhere in the fine print, so you didn’t even know you were paying for it until you got your credit card statement.

2. The author – one thing most people don’t think about is the author of the jump program they are interested in. First and foremost, find out their background and experience – do they know what they are talking about? Have the trained others, including world-class athletes? Are they registered with the Better Business Bureau?

Some of the products that claim to be the best vertical jump program were actually authored by a marketing company! So, to me that says they are really out just to make a quick buck, and have no business teaching others how to jump higher.

3. Customization – one area of concern for me when I was choosing the best vertical jump program was if it would be custom to my current jumping abilities and my body type. I soon found out that most of them are designed as a one size fits all type of program. I can understand this approach, as they are trying to appeal to a broad market.

However, does it make sense that the same principles would apply to everyone trying to jump higher? Would the same training regimen apply to someone who is 5’5″ tall vs someone who is 6’5″ tall?

This led me to the discovery that there are actually some vertical jump programs that are software based that implement training programs around your specific needs and abilities. And the surprising thing was that these software programs do not cost any more than the one size fits all products.

In the end, just make sure to determine what you really want to achieve before you decide to buy what you think is the best vertical jump program. Learn from my mistakes and you can’t go wrong.

Outdoor BBQ Grill Facts – Safety First

February 10th, 2010 No comments

Everyone makes mess ups once in a while, it is natural nature and very unlikely to prevent all the time. For an outdoor bbq grill, it’s no different. When barbecuing we can make terrible mistakes, wasting our foods doubtless fantastic flavour, or maybe even placing ourselves in a dangerous situation.

Bad tasting food is the results of most mistakes , however , some barbequing mistakes can send us to the surgery or maybe even give us a visit from a home insurance representative. Regardless of the severity, you must battle your hardest to avoid them and decrease their severity.

It’s important that you correctly prepare any meat you are cooking. Never cook totally or partially frozen beef on a outdoor bbq grill. You must melt it before cooking, allowing it to sit in room temperature for 10-15 hours before cooking, easy to just leave it out over night. It is feasible to the meat in the microwave but not preferred, microwaving has the possibility of thawing too long a cooking, which will not be good for the meat.

One mistake that could probably make you, your guests, or your folks sick is placing the cooked meat back onto the same plate you used for preparation when it was raw.

Using lighter liquid has it’s benefits, but also can have some implications if done incorrectly. Sometimes, lighter liquid gives the food you are cooking a bad, strong taste. You need to use lighter liquid terribly parsimoniously, using just enough to start the charcoal.

Another flavor destroying thing folk like to do is poke the beef to work out if it is done. Do not do this, poking holes make the beef less tender, because it causes the juices to leak out. Your meat can become dry, and probably ruin our outdoor bbq grill or start a fire from the leaked juices on the bottom. Also, this will just make your clean up time much longer. It is better to just use an internal meat temperature gauge.

You do not want to open the lid to many times either. When you do this you release heat from the outdoor bbq grill, and the temperature fluctuates a lot. Not only will this cause your meat to dry up but it also makes it take more time to finish.

Powerful heat isn’t unvaryingly the top choice. Use extreme heat just for sealing for a minute or 2, but then turn down to medium. You may need to think about using foil. This could make for faster clean up. Using foil also gives the food a fried taste instead of just grilled.

Do not ever leave an outdoor bbq grill alone. Occasionally juices, spices, grease, or marinades can flame up and you’ll want to be there when it does, decreasing the risk for an enormous fire and burned food. Don’t ever put a griddle against a wall. The back of a grill can become very hot, doubtless burning and marking the wall, or starting a fire. You must also not ever place the grill cover back on until it is completely cool, and has been off for a minimum of a couple of hours.

You should generally clean your grill when done cooking. Not cleaning your griddle exposes your food to unsanitary conditions, and increases the danger of a fire. Also, you ultimately make it tougher on yourself when you do eventually decide to wash it. When cleaning be certain that the grill is completely cold. If you use any chemicals for cleaning they have the potential to burst into flames if the grill is still hot. It is best simply to wait a pair of hours before giving it an inclusive cleaning to bypass the possibility of burning yourself.
