Most people know that consuming lots of fruits and vegetables in our diets is a good thing. The good news is that there are plenty of kitchen appliances that can help is do this. Juicing appliances come in many different shapes and sizes and we can use them to make great tasting drinks from our favorite fresh produce. There are many health benefits to our bodies from doing so. For example, we can improve the condition of our skin, fight colds and improve our energy levels. All this can be done simply by having a drink? It seems too easy. The fact is that it is within our control to improve our health. Why not check out some juicer reviews to find out which machine is best for you?

For those of you who want to start making your own fruit and vegetable juice, I think that it is best to get a centrifugal juicer. These are the easiest of the various styles to use. Masticating and twin gear juicers have their advantages but something like the Breville BJE200XL juicer is great for a few different reasons. First of all it is quite cheap. You can find this machine for under $100. This is not much to pay for something that can have a big positive impact on your own health. This machine is very easy to use, as are all centrifugal juicers. Putting it together can be done in seconds and then cleaning up once you have made your juice is also very easy.

The fast speed of the Breville BJE200XL make it a great machine that can juice quickly. This is one of the main benefits of centrifugal juicers they are fast and effective. The filter basket spins at a fast 13,000 RPM. This ensures that you can make a juice in literally seconds from whatever fruit and vegetables you choose. The big hole at the top where you insert your produce also ensures that you can make your health drink quickly. Since it is so wide there is little need to cut up your ingredients before putting them in. Finally the BJE200XL from Breville comes with a cleaning brush and a collection jug to catch the juice as it comes out of the machine.

Are you trying to decide which rice cooker is the right one for you? Did you know that these days there is now a bigger selection of top quality Japanese rice cookers on sale in the United States than ever before. So with this greater choice comes a more difficult time knowing which machine you should purchase. Indeed, if you want the best then you should really consider a Zojirushi Micom rice cooker. This style will set you back over $100 and could cost up to about the $400 mark. There are quite a few different machines in this range so it is important to know what the differences are so that you get the best value device.

First of all there are the standard Micom appliances like the best selling Zojirushi NS-LAC05. This one is a 3 cup model. This is one of the other important distinguishing characteristics. There are three different sizes of cooker that you can get. The smallest are the 3 cup units, then there are the 5.5 cup models, followed by the larger 10 cup rice cookers. Zojirushi make Micom machines in these three sizes. Carrying on, Micro Computerized (Micom) rice cookers are controlled by a micro chip that is the “brain” of the machine. When you use one of these cookers you do not have to stir the rice or keep an eye on it in any way. The machine does all the cooking for you.

The biggest jump from regular Micom cookers to a higher level is when you start to consider the Induction Heating range. These machines of course are micro computerized but they also have a sophisticated hi tec heating system that uses a magnetic field instead of a heating element. If you want to get one of these devices it will cost quite a bit more money. They start at around $250. However in my own experience are well worth the extra initial cost. The rice they make tastes better.

Drainers And Racks For The Dishes

A drainer for your dishes that is deeper than normal is great for drying dishes and saving energy.

Dish drainers are available in a vast array of designs, sizes, and styles, with common choices including those in a single piece, to two-tier drainers, or those with a separate utensil holder or detachable tray. A compact-sized tray offers a limited footprint with an ability to sit on a work surface, sink, or those that rest over a sink area. A suitably size rack is often built to hold 8 to 12 plates, along with bowls, cups, and pots and pans.

You have several excellent choices in the construction of your efficient kitchen dish drainer, as they are available in sturdy plastic, stainless steel, or bamboo.

The features of the well-made stainless steel dish rack include a removable upper-tier, separate compartments, and an independent utensil holder. You will likely find the drainers equipped with raised legs quite useful for keeping dishes from contacting the bottom tray, the rust-resistant stainless steel is also a great option.

An elegant, elongated bamboo dish dryer is an ideal addition in a kitchen with narrow countertops. A drainer with angled board ensures that water drainers that much sooner, and with more efficient airflow for dishes. Plates, cups, or bowls can be position in a diagonal, front, or sideways direction for flexible storage.

A dependable over the sink drainer, with adjustable arms (extendable up to 28-inches) is ideal to rest across most sinks, holds dinner plates plus larger items, such as pots and pans, and with its non-slip grips ensures it remains in place at all times.

Along with the detachable silverware holder, you will generally find scratch resistant feet and wire cushions on a compact dish rack; this allows you to use the rack without worry of damage to your sink and dishes. The growth of stain and odor causing bacteria is prevented with antimicrobial protection aids which some dish drainer racks are treated with.

A compact can hold a lot of dishes and is great for people in dorms, trailers, offices, apartments, or RVs where there isn’t a whole lot of space on the counter for a big drainer or rack for dishes.
