Growing up in the area of sunny California is well known artist Leal Henderson. Currently living in beautiful mountains of Utah Lael still continues to strive in achieving nothing short of excellence, being the creative genius that he is, it seems as though he has a long more that he wishes to share with the rest of the viewing world.

Lael graduated from BYU in 1993 with a BFA in illustration, after gaining his qualifications he made his first step in becoming the cutting edge artist we see before us today.

Lael has a great love for the traditional form of creating art, but over the past 10 years he has made the conscious decision to move over and join the digital age of creative design. It was a slow and painful progress for him, but not to say that he has been nothing short of successful on this quest.

The disciplines of Lael and focused on children’s, cartoon and conceptual illustrations. Using and combining these 3 formats Lael has been able to become a master when it comes to the artistic portrayal of children art. If ever Lael is to take on a new project, the chances are that it would be artwork for children novels.

The style Lael uses in his work is always well versatile and you can never know what to expect next in his next piece of art. It could be something dark and gloomy or something bright and joyful. The details of his work tend to change with each and every project, the quality of being unpredictable is every great artist’s greatest asset, and no artist wants the public to grow tired of repetitive and uncreative work.

My favourite piece of artwork by Lael Henderson is image of Little Frank, which uses very subtle but strong colours and tones, but the concept of the image is all so simple, yet very captivating.

Lael does have an online portfolio which is something you defiantly have to check out, there is much to be appreciated here.Lael does have an online portfolio which is something you defiantly have to check out, there is much to be appreciated here.
