Aside from drinking plenty of water, one way that you can relieve the discomfort that constipation brings is by simply eating fruits and vegetables that are rich in fiber. Here are some examples of fibrous fruits.  Sometimes, upon the advice of your doctor, you may want to perform a parasite cleanse. This type of cleanse is to get rid of any parasites that are in infecting our intestines. This is nearly always a last resort after all the other constipation remedies have been tried. Usually you will know if you are experiencing this type of problem if the constipation is lasting for more than a couple of weeks.

One of the best remedies for constipation is eating pears. You can eat pears at least twice a day until you have a regular bowel movement. You can take one in the morning and another one in the evening after dinner. You can also treat constipation by drinking a glass of pear juice one or twice a day.

Grapes are also rich in vitamins which are also beneficial to the body. It can also treat constipation because it has lots of nutritional qualities that help regulate bowel movements. You may wish to increase your food intake that contain more natural laxatives. These are, almonds, apricots (dried), avocados, chicory, coconut, dandelion (eat the dandelion leaves only if the do not have chemicals on them), dates, endive, figs, flaxseed, grapes, mango’s, olive, papayas, parsley, persimmons, pineapple, prunes, rhubarb, soybeans, turnips, walnuts, watercress. A lot of constipation issues are down to a bad diet so increasing your green vegetables and fruit will give your body more fiber which it is lacking in to pass feces easily. So first of all just increase your intake in vegetables and see if that helps things move along.

My personal favorites to have on a daily basis to prevent any problems, is flaxseed and mangos. I also ensure I have a high intake of fruit and vegetables and try and limit the junk food.

If you suffer from an illness this can also affect your bowel movement. Supplement your food with increased vitamin C intake as this will help fight off any unwanted illness that may be affecting your bowel movements.

Constipation is caused by your food struggling to move through the digestive system, due to it being dry. The longer it stays in your bowel the more water is transferred from it to your body, making it more dry. Well a very affective way to relieve your symptoms is to drink around 8 pints of water a day. You may have heard that this is the recommended daily allowance, well it is recommended for a reason. This not only will make you feel a lot better, but after your body have taken what it needs to survive, the rest will get flushed out through your digestive system. This will loosen your feces up and help move everything along. If you struggle to drink just pure water, it is OK to use a few drops of lemons or limes in it.

If you are still struggling to find a cure, then below is a list of some great supplements you may want to try.

Magnesium
Folic Acid
Apple Pectin
Few tablespoons of honey into milk

If problems persist for 1-2 weeks, go and consult your doctor
