The Dollhouse TV show is one of the most unique and bizarre science fiction shows that has ever aired on American television. The show has been created by the famous writer and director Joss Whedon who has come up with a one of a kind science fiction TV show for his audience. The first show was aired on 28th July 2009.

The concept of the show is born in futuristic labs that are situated underground and are also referred to as Dollhouses. These Dollhouses have a number of Actives that are nothing but humans who have their memories erased and their memories are then programmed with new personalities and skill sets, these Actives are also referred to as Dolls.

The Actives or Dolls are rented by rich people and companies who require them for doing several jobs and fro different purposes. And each of the Dolls memory is programmed in such a way for doing the tasks. After the completion of the task the Doll’s memory is erased and used for the next task when needed again.

In the series, the audience follows the story of one such Doll or Active whose name is Echo and the role of Echo is played by the striking Eliza Dushku. As the show goes on, slowly but surely Echo is realizing what people have been doing to her and where she is living. In the meanwhile someone on the outside is trying to destroy the concept and reality of the Dollhouse by trying to get close to Echo. However, the person who wants to bring the Dollhouse down doesn’t realize that one of the dolls in the dollhouse is Echo.

Different kinds of reviews and comments were given for this show. A majority of the viewers liked the show for its new concept created by Joss Whendon, however few others also commented on that this show has nothing that is so unique and also felt that the idea is not practical and illogical. Though, critics felt that this show has made many people to raise questions which meant this has made the masses to think that this is not the same old sci-fi drama.

Underworld fans will really love the latest movie ‘Rise of the Lycans’ as it has all the mix of blood, gore and adventure. The film delves into the reason for the start of the war between the Lycans and the Death Dealers. The reason for the dispute is a very predictable one a la Romeo and Juliet stories.

Viktor had a daughter named Sonya who was in love with the Lycan, Lucian. Lucian was quite lucky in a sense that when he was a boy he was spared by Viktor. When he grew up he became a blacksmith for the vampire tribe. Viktor was the ruler of this clan and he was a strong minded ruler. Lucian was more like a slave, like the other captured Lycans, working hard for the vampire family. But all along he has fallen in love with Sonya and there were moments when the two will sneak away to their secret meeting place and made love.

But a strange thing happened. One of the captured werewolf gave birth to quasi human child. This child grows up to become a blacksmith and works as a slave for the vampire family. This child is none other than Lucian. He has a soft corner for Viktor’s beautiful daughter, Sonja. The two are madly in love with each other and they never miss a chance to sneak into their secret place where they have sex. Male audiences need not rejoice as there is no nudity in the film.

The Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans movie is actually a prequel to the previous two Underworld movies. Len Wiseman, the director of the first two movies, produces this one but the leading star, Kate Beckinsdale, can only be seen towards the end of the film and that too in the form of a clip from the first film. Special Effects man Patrick Tatopoulos is the man behind the camera this time and does one hell of a good job. Like the other two movies, this one is rated ‘R’ for the free display of blood and gore. Rhona Mitra disappoints us all with barely any skin show.

Patrick as a director is very good and degree of praise for him will be less. He handles the celebrated actors in the movie very well and gives them enough screen space. The film is ok for mature audiences only as there is good amount of violence and gore on display.

Rise of the Lycans is not for general viewing. Only those people who have an appetite for horror films will like this one. The film has lots of blood and gore as the weapons used are all of the medieval period. If you detest blood on screen then don’t come anywhere near this one.
