Past, Present and Future – The Reagan Coalition

December 17th, 2009 No comments

We are now just about 1 year into the administration of Barack Obama and the newest group of legislators making up our current Congress. However, in this one year span, these individuals have attempted to push through so many controversial measures that it is literally mind-boggling. One of the big questions in my mind is – what’s the rush?

It is recognized that the Democrats favor the poor or the less fortunate while the Republicans favor big business and pull yourself up by your bootstraps without government interference let the best man win in this glorious country of ours where everyone can potentially be a millionaire. The Democrats have always been the working man’s party while the Republicans paint a picture of an American in a suit with polished shoes who doesn’t believe in all this silliness about the environment or the need for social legislation much less health reform. They are the business man’s party.

Now why would the slave owners of the south want them to count as a full person while the northern sates, that had already abolished slavery, want them to count as only three-fifths of a person? The answer is simple. The south wanted them to count as a full person so they could gain more seats in the house of representatives and guarantee slavery to go on forever.

So this is our political climate today. Populism once again being seduced by the right and the Republicans by telling people they will protect you as you lose your jobs, struggle to pay bills, wonder how you will pay your taxes, pay for Christmas, birthdays, kid programs, cellphone bills, gas, electric, food, health insurance, medicine, tuition, school fees, cars, travel programs, clothes, mortgage, and have anything left over at all for a future.

Now, the more interesting thing – why liberals should oppose any such legislation. Liberal pro-choicers are usually one of the segments of the population advocating for women’s rights. And, sort of lumped in with that is the belief that women should not be sexually objectified or exploited. But, by this very notion, they themselves refer to abortion as a “choice” which defines abortion as an elective procedure. If we were to allow for elective procedures under new healthcare legislation, that would then put us in the position to allow for such things as breast enhancements, liposuction, vaginal rejuvenation and procedures of that nature. And as most liberals will argue, these procedures do indeed objectify and sexually exploit women.

I urge everyone to take their own time and do there own research into history before they start making judgements based on partial truths but out by radicals on both sides. Do your due diligence, study these people and their writings and form your own conclusions based on those truths. Thank you for taking the time to check out my article. Please take a chance to research for yourself.

Our Country is Threatened by High Debt

November 26th, 2009 No comments

Recently there have been an increasing number of reports concerning scams connected to applications for government grants. There are some reputable companies that charge fees for information on grants, but they are established companies that have been in business for some time. Now there has been increased interest in locating programs, government bureaucrats have started to label them as scams.

The Democratic bill recently passed does not contain stimulus grants from President Obama. Most people do not understand this. There is no financial provision for individual people. Though some programs do indirectly benefit individuals by helping them obtain a new job or offering assistance with their mortgage, there is no legislation guaranteeing them payouts from the government on an individual basis.

The nation is in a tough spot right now with the economy being so poor and the government running up the deficit like there will be no consequences. People voted for Obama because they wanted a change but I’m not sure how many of them really understand how much trouble we are in. We are getting change all right, just not the right kind.

The scam that is the most obvious is that being run by the US government. The stimulus bill that was passed by the government allows all of our tax dollars to be given away, proving to be the biggest scam the country has every run. It is important for people to begin understanding that we cannot continue to borrow against our children’s future. In order to put a stop to this, we need to vote these dishonest people out of office.

Unfortunately, so many people just don’t understand how economics works and think the government has an unlimited amount of funding. If we continue down the path we are on, and that seems likely, we may all find out the hard way that spending more money is not the answer to our problems.
