The Exquisite Climate Of Saint Thomas

February 11th, 2010 No comments

Have you been looking for a beautiful tropical place to visit away from the cold of the winter months? Then you should consider going to the island of St. Thomas in the Caribbean Sea. It is an absolutely gorgeous island and I have many reasons why I visit it as much as I possibly can.

These are just some of the numerous reasons why you might decide to plan a trip to St. Thomas.

The most beautiful beaches are located here. If you love a nice relaxing beach with actual blue water, then St. Thomas is where you should go. You will find a lot of smaller ones that are not as crowed and they will offer you all the relaxation you would like to have on a beach.

There are quite a few upscale restaurants on the island and all of them have chefs who are extremely talented. The food is plentiful and there is a nice assortment of restaurants offering gourmet foods and well-prepared meals, so you will have a lot of options when it comes to dining.

The unique topography of the island gives it a blend of mountains and beaches. Granted, these aren’t the snow capped mountains that you’d see if visiting the Rockies or somewhere else, but there are still high points on the island that give you incredible views of the water.

A fact that is convenient is that English happens to be the native language here on the island. Being able to travel to a place where everyone speaks the same language is always so much easier than having to communicate with people who speak a different language. Everyone on the island speaks perfect English – that should bring a smile to your face.

The fact that no passport is required in order to go to the island is something that people like. St. Thomas is a part of the US Virgin Islands, which makes it an American destination. Therefore, you will not need any type of international identification or passport when you travel there.

One word of caution to you is that renting a car here can be somewhat confusing since the cars drive on the left side of the road. That, combined with some steep hills on the roads, makes it a bit difficult to drive here.

Getting Started Being A Part Time Travel Agent

February 11th, 2010 No comments

There are many part time travel agent related jobs in the internet which one can make use of in order to earn a fair income on a daily basis. All you need to have is a computer at your home with a proper internet connection and an urge to earn money. I would also like to stress on the fact that these part time jobs require no stress or sweat or any sort of experience in order to carry out these jobs. The only time you will have to worry is while you are counting the huge money you earned because there are chances that you might miss out on numbers.

The answer for such part time travel agent job is to become a member of the Traverus organization which is ready to provide work on a daily basis and they in turn will pay you in dollars which you could have possibly never imagined in your life. The thing you will have to do is that you should become a member of this organization by registering yourself and buying their products which include membership cards, natural and healthy products etc. By doing so, you are given a free travel agent portal or in other words a travel website from which people can book tickets viz. air tickets, train tickets etc, thus earning good income for yourself.

The biggest advantage in working as a member of this organization is that the travel agent job you carry out is absolutely strenuous-free. Yes, there is no physical or mental stress in earning money by becoming the registered member of this huge organization. By strenuous-free I meant that you need not take pains to update your website or add important information or informative blogs in order to attract traffic to your website. The company will take care of this once you are an affiliate member and all you have to take care is to count the money you earned.

When you start working as a travel agent with the Traverus and after a certain period of effective training as a job and after satisfying the company’s basic and simple requirements you can become a certified travel agent of this organization. When you become a Traverus travel certified travel agent the goodies you earn are much more than you could ever imagine. You can earn huge commission amounts based on the number of customers registered for Traverus through your portal. The mode of payment is based on the 3D compensation plan which can be either weekly payouts or monthly payouts depending on your choice.

After having talked about the huge commission and free portal/website I guess it is time to tell you more about the other huge benefits one can gain by becoming the registered member. The products of Traverus are of extremely high quality and are in great demand among the public and so the other option involved here is that you can work as a sales executive (only if you are interested) and earn in another stream simultaneously. Network marketing is another option of making money. Also the registered members are eligible for travel and touring holiday destinations at discounted rates.

Overseas Volunteer Opportunities

February 11th, 2010 No comments

Type ‘volunteer travel’ or ‘volunteer tours’ into an internet search engine and you will see literally thousands of websites from around the world detailing projects that you can sign-up for. These projects are extremely varied – ranging from humanitarian assistance to conservation based work to cultural exposure, and just about anything else you could think of in between.

The cost of these programs is equally varied, but the average would be around $700-800 a month. Programs involving wildlife tend to be slightly more expensive, with projects starting at $1000 per month, though some of these give you some kind of qualification on completion of it. By contrast, you could volunteer in Africa or India on a humanitarian project at a cost of about $500 per month.

Your accommodation will vary based on the type of project being undertaken and, as with the majority of tourism trips, typically, the more you pay, the higher the quality of the facilities available to you will be. There are unique opportunities to live within local communities, where you will living just as they do. As an alternative, you may have the option to sleep outdoors, or in the wilderness, a humbling but immensely rewarding experience.

A typical program or project runs for about a month, however, most companies can fit you in for a reduced duration if you are unable to fulfill that commitment. Most will also take you on for an extended duration, but not usually more than an extra month, particularly on social or humanitarian type projects.

You should endeavor to acquire as much information as you can about any volunteer organizations that you are interested in. At a minimum, you should thoroughly read through their website, to evaluate their mission statement and ethics policy. A secondary means of getting information about a particular organization is through referrals, either provided by the organization themselves, or sourced by you. Forums, blogs and e-newsletters being particularly good sources of unbiased information.
