A Secluded Getaway with a Caribbean yacht charter?

April 2nd, 2010 No comments

My wife and I are starting to make our plans for a vacation this year and I am leaning towards going to the Caribbean for a week, so finding a good selection of Caribbean yacht charters is on the list. My wondering thought is whether a charter would allow you to take the boat to any island destination you want within reason. Having a crew taking care of things while we just dive off the side and play our day away in the surf and sand on the white beaches would be a treat to remember for a long time. I think making memories is much more fun than remembering them.
I have this picture in my mind of being in a secluded area of small lush tropical islands and a cove where we can drop anchor a few yards off the beach in a swim back and forth from the boat to our island home for the week. Spending a few days in silence with no phones or computers or distractions would be a welcome change from what we have endured this past year and to get some alone time with my favorite girl would be even better. I can see us having lunch on the beach with large brimmed hats with dark sunglasses and zinc oxide on our noses to keep them from burning. At night, the tiki torches lighting up the evening and music, yes the rhythmic drums beating and the sounds of the Caribbean being played out as the night rolls on and then at the end of the night, a small enclave of huts next to a thirty foot waterfall, yes it does not get any better than dreaming it up big.
We have not made any concrete plans yet, we are still in the initial stages. I really like the idea of getting a luxury yacht rental and I will be checking out the costs from the internet web sites I can find through the search engines. I wonder if the full packages from air fare to hotel to activities are available. As a person who travels less than ten thousand miles a year, this will be an exciting adventure. Starting with the idea of a small vacation and ending up with a vacation of a lifetime would take some adequate planning and I am up to the challenge. I have my clipboard with activities I would like to do and places I would like to visit.
