Can Anyone Try Psychic Training?

January 16th, 2010 No comments

It’s quite amazing that in our modern world a psychic such as John Edwards can become famous and even make a living off books, television shows, and live entertainment. While psychic powers could once get you laughed at or even killed, they seem to be no big deal to most people today. In fact, psychics such as Sylvia Brown often have a large following of fans who seek to learn from them. While there will always be those who don’t believe in these powers or who are made uncomfortable by the simple idea of a psychic, most people have a general acceptance that there are psychics amongst us.

Some psychics have undergone psychic training but some are born with the power. Many psychics will freely admit that they do not understand everything about their gifts. What they do know, however, is that the ability to see into the future, the past, or even more deeply into the present, is a very real and proven gift.

Most psychics have some form of ESP, or extra sensory perception. This simply means they see or somehow know things about the past, present, and future that most other people have no way of knowing.

While no one knows exactly how many people have psychic abilities, it stands to reason that their numbers are extremely small. This may have something to do with the fact that most psychics have never had any kind of psychic training, and therefore they are not truly aware of their gifts. Sure, they may occasionally realize that they are a bit different or that they have special insights they often dismissed as intuition, but they would never dream of calling themselves psychics.

Of course, there are even people who have absolutely no psychic powers but who put on the act in order to make a living. Some do readings over the phone or Internet while others read tarot cards for a living. Most people who go in for these readings are doing it in good humor, though some may really believe in a particular psychic’s abilities.

That is not to say that everyone who calls themselves a psychic is just an actress. There are some true psychics who do very important things in our society. They help look for missing children and have been known to give valuable clues to law enforcement. Some of their leads have lead to the arrest of criminals or to solving difficult cases.

Have you ever wondered if you have some psychic tendencies? Do you think you could develop them with a little psychic training? Whether you have wondered from time to time about your abilities or think this could never work through you, don’t be so certain about it. Many people now believe that anyone can develop psychic powers if they truly open their minds and hearts to the power that naturally rests within them.

Psychic training is no longer a silly concept. Many people have gone through training and discovered that they have more power within them than they ever realized.

For anyone interested in psychic training, the first step is to clear the mind of anything negative. You want to do deep meditation, stretching, and other forms of relaxation and train the mind to focus on positive things, removing the negative thoughts and attitudes prior to beginning psychic training.

Psychic training requires a free mind and the negativity, stress, and fearful thoughts that most people harbor can stand in the way of powers really developing. This is why it is important to start practicing meditation and other forms of deep relaxation.

Efforts in psychic training will be greatly rewarded by a consistent, daily practice of meditation. A serious student will often find a remote place outdoors or somewhere quiet within their own home and spent at least a half hour each day clearing the mind.

Also, a very serious student in psychic training will become quite ritualistic about their meditation time. This is because missing just a single day could derail all of the progress they have made in clearing their mind and developing their powers.

Breathing in a deep, controlled manner is the most beneficial part of meditation for a psychic-in-training. While controlling the breath, the student will become freer in releasing pent up negative energy.

There are no rigid guidelines or standardized testing in psychic training. Each person moves at their own pace, making progress a very spiritual, individualized process.

Fortunately, the next step is a simple and enjoyable one. All you have to do is purchase a deck of tarot cards. Because they are physical objects, these cards are often helpful at getting beginners to focus their newfound psychic abilities.

So, be patient and have some fun with it. Offer free reading to your friends and family members. And practice, practice, practice! If you do, you will surely find in no time at all that your abilities are becoming clearly, sharper, and far easier to control.

Gay Holidays: Packages In Morocco

January 15th, 2010 No comments

Morocco is a country steeped in myths and legend and offers gay travel opportunities to experience a rich history and culture that continues to strongly influence daily life. Morocco offers visitors the chance to cross the desert atop a camel, sleep in a hotel made of sand and haggle with aggressive spice and rug traders in marketplaces that look and feel like they are from another time in history. In many towns and cities former homes have been transformed into guest lodgings, called riads, that often offer a more welcoming atmosphere for travelers on a gay vacation and provide the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and daily life of Morocco. While there is no visible scene in this conservative Muslim country, there are still abundant reasons for Morocco to be part of your gay travel plans, including ancient ruins and architecture, exceptional beaches, desert landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see and open air souks (markets) that wind through village streets offering exotic wares.

Any travel experience in Morocco must include exploring the distinct quarters of the Fes medina, taking in the art deco architecture of Casablanca, breathing in the ocean air while watching a spectacular sunrise or sunset in Tangier, and visiting the Dar Si Said Museum in Marrakech. With breathtaking Muslim mosques, snake charmers, street performers, ancient Roman ruins and so much more, a vacation to Morocco gives travelers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the colors, sounds, sights and smells of this unique country.

American and European socialites, writers and composers involved in the jet set scene once flocked to Morocco as a preferred gay vacation destination; however, while Morocco was once known as a liberal playground welcoming gay men and lesbians from around the world for vacations, a push by recent Muslim leadership to move the country back towards the strict moral code of Islam has caused this welcoming atmosphere to change. Although the law is not commonly enforced, homosexuality was deemed a criminal offence in 1962 and remains so today. Same-sex conduct is punishable by fines and between six months to three years in prison.

The government released a statement in early 2009 stating that homosexuality would not be tolerated and that increased efforts to repress same-sex conduct would be established. This may mean increased enforcement of this 1962 law. This is not uncommon in primarily Muslim countries and does not mean that Morocco should be avoided when planning travel.

However it does mean that caution and discretion are advised while visiting this conservative country and that travelers may want to consider visiting Morocco as part of organized gay travel tours or working with a gay holidays agency that is knowledgeable about the safest locations and lodgings for Morocco vacations.

Taking Time Each Day With God

January 13th, 2010 No comments

Keeping a consistent daily quiet time with God is one of the hardest things we face in our Christian life. Why? Because our adversary the devil, knows that therein lays the secret of our strength and victory as believers. If he can get us off track, our power and wisdom are diminished, therefore, it’s essential to develop the habit of regularly meeting with God.

To start with, choose a time that you will use each day for prayer and reading the Bible. Make this part of your schedule a priority each day and don’t blow it off because of other things that need to be done. We’re used to scheduling our important activities and appointments, but we usually only give God the extra time that isn’t needed for other things.

Designate a place where you can be uninterrupted. (I can hear young mothers saying now, “And where would that be?”) For some it’s a favorite chair or room in the house. Others find tranquility in the early hours at the office or shop. Whatever spot you choose, keep your Bible, devotional and study books, prayer journal, pen and any other materials you need close by.

The third and final step is to come up with a plan for what you will be doing with your quiet time. You may choose to study a specific book of the Bible (or group of books), read through the entire Bible, or follow along through a devotional book or workbook.

Looking ahead to the next year, make an effort to find quality materials that will help you in your studies of Scripture. Pray that God would help you to determine what you should study and what resources you should be using.

A daily time of meditation, study and prayer are as essential to your spiritual health as nutritious food is to your physical well-being. Make an appointment with God and make it a priority to be there!

Father, I know how important it is that I have time alone with you each day. Help me to put aside the distractions and to prioritize this time. Show me what you would have me to study and how I can apply it to my daily life.
