Easy Ways How To Be Romantic
There is a misconception that romantic love has a very short life span and the longer people are together, the weaker this love becomes. This doesn’t have to be the case if both partners know how to show love to each other and are willing to do so.
Being romantic has nothing to do with spending lots of money. There are many ways to show affection and love with very little money or even without spending a dime.
While flowers and chocolates are nice and easy ways to show your love and appreciation, there are other, more creative ways to do it.
For example, it may seem easy, but when was the last time you said “I love you” to your partner.
If you’ve been married for 15 years and the last time you said that you loved them was on your honeymoon, say it again. Many loving couples don’t say “I love you” to each other, because they think that it is obvious and therefore, unnecessary. Avoid this mistake, especially, if you are a guy, because they say that women love with their ears and they need to hear that they are loved.
If you say “I love you” often, pay attention to exactly how you are saying it. Are you saying it with feeling and do you really mean it then? Or are you saying it automatically with no emotion, the same way you are saying “how are you” to strangers, or “have nice day”.
Show love unexpectedly. No doubt that taking care of garbage every week, or making meals are acts of love. However, consider doing something special to show your partner how much you love her. Do something that he or she hates to do. Like grocery shopping, for example.
Feel free to do something crazy. For example, make a painting for your loved one, even if the last time you held a paint brush was in kindergarten. It is not the outcome that matters but the thought. If he or she has a sense of humor, you may try making their portrait.
A good and a thoughtful way to surprise your loved one is to prepare a bubble bath for them. Or give them a nice back massage and don’t ask anything in return.
You may also make a list of things you love about your partner and deliver it to them in a creative way. Stick it under their windshield wiper, sneak it in their pocket, or maybe prepare a romantic dinner and stick it under their plate. You can also buy a bouquet of flowers and put it inside.
Your everyday routine can suck up romantic love, but if you know how to be romantic, your marriage will only get better every year. Remember that love is not only a feeling; it is also an action.
