Personal Golfing Course Communities : Privacy for A Price

February 10th, 2010 No comments

You’re out at your favorite golf course, waiting to tee off with your friends when you are halted due to a slow moving party in front of you. While you cook in the hot sun, the party before you takes their time in selecting their clubs and perfecting their shots.

How many times as this occurred to you while you attempted to enjoy your favorite past time? Many golfers would say too many. That’s the reason why non-public golf course communities are so favored among those that need some additional added privacy, and they do not mind paying a little additional for it.

Well Manicured Grounds

Private golfing course communities make it simple for you to enjoy your favourite game in the middle of a superbly maintained green. Non-public courses are open to members only. That implies you are not certain to be halted by people who are not taking the game seriously. Also, non-public courses provide booked tee times so that halts due to slow players are not likely. They also provide other services also like lunch, drinks, ball cleanings, even spa services for relaxing after a long game.

Members Only

Many private golfing course communities offer other advantages as well as golfing. Most offer tennis courts, pools, volleyball courts and offer planned events to keep members satisfied all year long. Because entrance is restricted to paying members only you are basically joining a club where you can mingle with others who have as much eagerness for the game of golfing as you do.

Membership fees to such private golf course communities vary widely from course to course. The amount depends on the services offered and where the community is offered. A private community set on the waterfront in Clearwater, Florida that offers not only an 18 hole golf course but also volleyball courts, basketball courts, indoor heated pools and day spa services is likely to be more expensive than a private course in Indianapolis, Indiana that only offers a club house and a volleyball court as its extra perks.

If you want to enjoy your game of golf and don’t want to worry about being disturbed, or maybe you just want to be part of a private club where other members share the same passion you do for the game, then a private golf course community may be for you. Chances are, there’s one in a city near you. Membership fees may be high, but many would argue that the scenery alone is well worth the cost. New Playable Class in Cataclysm – Torment Of The Worgen.

February 10th, 2010 No comments

Creeping just outside of Darkshire, I had been set a quest to kill the Worgen in the Woods by a member of the night watch (No – not Sam Vimes, that would have been cool though). Duskwood was a dark scary area. The first I had come across after the lightness of Elwynn Forest, Westfall and Redridge

I reached the brow of a crest of land that looked over a dark grassed area and spotted the Worgen for the first time. The quest was rated as level 23, but this was going to be tough even at level 25. It’s no exaggeration to say that this area changed Warcraft for me. It probably was one of the main reasons that I love this game. Wiping these mobs was tough. At the time I had not heard of the torment of the Worgen, but I doubt that would have made much difference.

From Warcraft Cataclysm onwards you will be able to play a Worgen. They join the Alliance as a new playable race, and are one reason I’m going to re-roll new characters the day the 4.0 patch hits. I can’t wait.

Blizzard have steadily increased the number of classes each race can play, and in keeping with this Worgen will start with a good number of class options.

Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior, Druid, Hunter and Mage. Not forgetting, if you meet the criteria, Death Knights.

The though of all the form combinations that a Worgen Druid could take – the mind boggles. That might be the most fun of all.

Blizzard have made all new character skins and animations for the playable Worgen. Recognisable though they are – they are far more detailed than the NPC’s that are currently in the game.

So what of the racial traits and abilities.

Two Forms – A cosmetic change. Changing from Human to Worgen form. On entering combat the player will revert to Worgen. Hopefully very quickly. The animation that combines speed with a pleasing transformation is something I am looking forward to seeing.

Flayer – This passive ability will allow you to boost the speed of your skinning, while also adding a +15 to your current skinning skill.

Aberration – A 15% reduction in duration for all curses and movement impairing effects. This could make a very good anti-debuff class. (Have I just made that word up?)

Viciousness – This passive ability will increase all damage done by Worgen’s by 1%. This is a prime skill for DPS classes such as the Mage, Warlock, or Hunter to have.

Darkflight – A 70% speed increase for 6 seconds on activation. We need to know more about this to see if it will be of greatest benefit to Rogues. With Viciousness and Aberration, this could mean an almost tailor made Rogue race. But the activation of this perk and its cooldown will decide whether this is really the case or not. I suspect it probably is.

With a whole new starting area of Gilneas near to Silverpine Forest, the introduction of the Worgen is something I’m very much looking forward to.

Home Hydroponics – 11 Advantages

February 10th, 2010 No comments

With home hydroponics you can plant anything you want and you will soon have an abundance of quality fruit, vegetables, flowers or herbs!

If you’re thinking of setting up your own home hydroponics system then you really should as there are many benefits to it:

1. You don’t need to water your plants! This saves time and is the main reason why plants die due to over or under watering. A common mistake made by many novice gardeners is eliminated!

2. Hydroponic plants grow up to 50% faster! This is because the roots do not need to expand to look for nutrients, they are already there in abundance! Home hydroponic plants grow extremely quickly.

3. Because no soil is needed, little or no space is used! There is no need for a garden!

4. There is no spread of soil borne diseases which typically effects garden plants! Your plants will be very much healthier as a result and this will show!

5. You will not need to use any pesticides. No soil loving pests will be able to get near to your home hydroponic plants.

6. Running costs are 20% lower once your home hydroponics system is set up.

7. You will be able to grow more plants within a smaller area! Although your plants will grow to be larger, the roots will be smaller which makes this possible.

8. Maintenance is minimal. In fact all you really need to do once set up is pick the fruit or veg! There are no weeds with hydroponics.

9. Your yield will be year long and permanent. This is because you can manipulate your specific plants growing conditions to be optimum all the time.

10. You can grow your plants anywhere; in a greenhouse, garden, conservatory, rooftop, living room, bedroom or corridor.

11. Your plants will grow 40% larger on average, this is because all the growing conditions are controlled by you and they will be optimal! Also the roots have access to all the nutrients they need and more.

Building your own Home Hydroponics system is rewarding and fun! You will get all the above benefits from it and your fruit and vegetables will look and taste amazing! There is still more you can learn about building your own Home Hydroponics plants system, but once set up you can sit back and relax!
