Some easy advice for guitar beginners: Strengthen those fingers

February 7th, 2010 No comments

One of the most difficult things to master when playing the guitar is coordination between your right and left hands. You must first discover which hand is the culprit.

You can run through exercises for your right hand all day long, but it wont make the slightest difference if it is in fact your left hand letting you down.

Most beginners will find that a weak wrist or uncoordinated left hand fingers are the main cause of most of their playing problems. It is this fact alone that prevents a lot of guitar players from becoming better.

What would you do if you knew a way to strengthen your left hand fingers faster than you could imagine? The good news is that you can find a lot of methods that will increase your left hands speed and endurance. The following is only one of them:

- Guitar Lessons For Beginners – 5 steps to strengthening your left hand fingers.

Step 1 – Assume a starting position of your first finger behind the first fret on the the first string and your third finger behind the third fret on the second string. It is important to make sure both fingers come down on the strings at the exact same time. Next swap your fingers so that your first finger is on the second string behind the first fret and your third finger is behind the third fret on the first string.

Step 2 – Position your left hand so the first finger is behind the first fret on the first string and your third finger is behind the third fret on the third string. Next, change your fingers so your first finger is on the third string behind the first fret and your third finger is on the first string behind the third fret.

Step 3 – Back to finger one, fret one, string one. Finger three, fret three, string four. Then, you guessed it; switch! Finger one, fret one, string four and finger three, fret three, string one.

The fourth step, now place your 1st finger behind the 1st fret, 1st string with your 3rd finger behind the 3rd fret, 5th string. Next you flick your fingers over so the 1st finger is behind the 1st fret, 5th string and the 3rd finger behind fret 3, string 1.

The fifth and final step, place your 1st finger behind fret 1, string 1 and your 3rd finger behind the 3rd fret string 6. Now you flick your fingers again so the 1st finger is behind the 1st fret, 6th string and 3rd finger is behind the 3rd fret, 1st string.

The best way to do these finger workouts is without a pick, you should do them at a light pace and speed up the more skilled you get.

If utilized at least once or twice a week, these five steps can help your left hand gain strength and accuracy and increase your proficiency (and pleasure) at playing guitar!

Gift Cards Many Uses

February 7th, 2010 No comments

A gift is something that is extended by any human being with an intention of expressing his/her feelings and should therefore be respectfully accepted by the receiver. Gift cards are something that renders the same feel to the receiver with ease. This article attempts to ponder on the points when giving or receiving cards.

Gift cards were greeted in an appreciable manner in the year 2008. It was this year in which the sales of gift cards reached its acme. Shoppers who go the shopping of gift cards often must be knowing about the 2 variants of gift cards- general-purpose cards and retail store cards.

General-purpose cards would cost you 4-7$ and can be used for any purpose for a fixed period of time. To rear side of the general-purpose cards one can notice the logos of Visa, MasterCard and American Express along with terms of use list. The approx sales value reached by general-purpose cards is of $4 billion every year. Some things that require notice from the buyer’s end during the purchase of general-purpose cards are: * The fee relative to the limited validation period is if 5$. * Inactivity fee that may be levied once the general-purpose gift card’s validation period id over. * Validation period of the gift card

The other variant of gift cards- retailer-issued cards can be bought in a prepaid mode. Retailer-issued cards are meant to be used preferably at the issuer’s store. Retailers selling retailer-issued cards at their stores make a bigger profit with the sales of these cards than from the sales of general-purpose cards. Retailer issued cards are preferred over general-purpose gift cards by the purchasers, as they bear no expiry date on them.

The very first thing that should be retained in mind before purchasing a gift card is that it benefits the issuer more than the purchaser in big way monetarily if the gift card isn’t used before its expiry date. As per the surveys conducted by Consumer Federation of America (CFA) 10% of the gift cards bought are never used, which means that the entire money spent on of all these gift cards went down the drain. Therefore, to make sure that the money spent on every lovely card bought is used up; it is always better to use it as soon as possible after the purchase.

As goodwill towards buyers, Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act of 2009 take care of all the aspects of the purchase of gift cards. Most of the cards bear an expiry date that denotes a date that ends somewhere after 5 years from the card’s purchase. Some lenient firms like American Express have relived the customers by removing the service fee that is applicable on actual charge of gift cards.

Some of the useful tips extended by Federal Trade Commission for the appropriate usage of gift cards are: * Terms and conditions listed on the rear side of a gift may sound boring but are worth a reading. * Always confirm the status of upfront fee and expiration dates before buying a gift card from any store. * Always keep the gift card in a safe place and if lost report it to the store officials so that they can replace the gift card immediately.

You now have a way to present a marvelous gift for any occasion with a asos Gift Card. Getting a free gift card makes a great gift for any recipient.

Free New 2012 Movies

February 7th, 2010 No comments

One of the biggest blockbuster movies of the year 2009 was “2012″ directed by Roland Emmerich of “The Independence Day” fame. This is an epic disaster/adventure movie which is based on global cataclysm i.e. natural disasters. The story takes its root from the predictions in the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar and the Mayan calendar which states that the world will be destroyed completely by the year 2012 due to certain climatic changes. You can watch 2012 online free at your home with a good internet connection.

Guys wait! I know most of you would b raring to watch 2012 online free. But before that, let me tell you some interesting facts about the storyline. Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser (co-writer) found the predictions in the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar quite believable and decided to make a movie out of it. The prediction was simple; the calendar ends on December 21 or 23, 2012 after running for 5125 years and this will ring in the end of world as well.

Many would find this stuff too greasy. But believe me, if you read some of the true facts about the predictions in the Maya Calendar and predictions of the famous French seer Nostradamus then you will be finding this movie quite amusing. Both the Maya or the Mayan Calendar and Nostradamus predict that world will face many climatic changes which will ultimately lead to its destruction. How could all the three predictions point to the same date? Is it true that the world will face its end by 2012?

I do not know whether the world will end by the year 2012. I do not know whether these predictions are true either. All I know is that the 2012 movie is awesome. Yes, this movie is simply exhilarating and moves at a stunning pace that you will be left wondering in the end. The cinematography has carved a niche out for itself and has to be commended. The cataclysmic events like the earthquake, tsunami, volcanic eruptions and glaciers are shown in such a realistic manner that it will surely blow your minds away.

Coming to the crew of the 2012 movie headed by Roland Emmerich, the director consists of some of the most eminent and efficient professionals in this field. The main cast includes John Cussack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton. All these versatile actors have carried out their roles to perfection. Special mention must be given to Oliver Patt too. The music is by Harald Kloser and Thomas Wander. Harald Kloser is also the co-writer of the story of this movie which runs for 158 minutes. Cinematography is by Dean Semler.

I have explained the things about 2012 movie and I am sorry that I cannot tell you the plot because if I do, then the thrill in watching this movie is reduced considerably. So what are you guys waiting for? Go and watch 2012 online free as I do not want to waste time in talking. Enjoy this movie from your PC with snacks and a cup of coffee though I would prefer watching this epic movie in theatres.

Now you can Watch 2012 free online at Free Movies Downloads and enjoy wonderful movies and more.
