February 10th, 2010 No comments

The CSI TV show can certainly claim credit for the through-the-roof ratings that CBS earned after it started airing this incredibly interesting series that can only be described as a mix of crime with a generous serving of drama. CSI: Crime Screen Investigation or CSI: Las Vegas, as it’s also known first premiered on CBS close to a decade ago, on the 6th of October, 2000. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the show was the result of Anthony E. Zuiker’s creativity and was shot primarily at California’s Universal Studios.

The series is based on suspense and schemes of outrageous murders and the suspicious objects left behind by the criminals. In these episodes the crime investigators are followed when they are searching for the clues at the site of crime and go further to solve the murder mystery. All this is very much sequential. The show is strongly criticized by law and order people but it is so popular in public that it has top ratings constantly which confirms that the people are going to watch it longer.

The series became so popular in 2002 that it became the most viewed series in that year. This encouraged CBS to go for sequels CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. These series are so exciting that the viewers are at their place throughout the show of 90 minutes.

The main heroes of the series are the forensic experts. Presently the team is headed by Ray Langston (portrayed by Laurence Fishburne) and Catherine Willows (played by Marg Helgenberger), the boss of the night shift. These two are level 2 and level 3 CSIs. People must have noticed that several important characters have been changed in the ten sessions which have been shown so far.

CSI has also seen the enactment of cameos by several well-known actors including Dakota Fanning, Kate Walsh, Stacey Dash, Kelly Rowan, Stephen Baldwin, Faye Dunaway, and Chad Michael Murrey to name a few. Kevin Federline also made a guest appearance in the seventh season episode titled “Fannysmackin’” in which he played a thug called ‘Pig.’ Singer Taylor Swift also enacted the role of Haley Jones in “Turn Turn Turn,” an episode in Season 9.

The number of episodes in each season ranged from 23 to 25. But season 8 was very short of only 17 episodes. An episode aired on 19th May 2005 was seen by large number of people, as many as 35 million. It was directed by Quentin Tarantino. The total number of episodes of CSI aired by CBS so far is 206. Having so many numbers of episodes it is possible that you could not manage to watch some of them and want to watch them. Here is an opportunity to view the missed or all episodes again.

Utilize Seductive Valentine’s Day Roses to Spark the Fires of Love

February 10th, 2010 No comments

While giving Valentine’s Day roses has been a tradition for centuries, it is still a avenue to spark some romance in your relationship. Valentine’s Day roses may not weigh a bunch, they are heavy in how much they mean. It is vital to consider that not all of us like the same kind of rose and that red roses are not always appropriate for what you want to say. You need to take some factors into your options when selecting your Valentine’s Day roses. However, once you have chosen the roses that are perfect for your situation, the receiver will see how much they mean to you.

There are numerous types of roses and each has its own meaning; for instance, red roses are typically used to express love for the recipient. White roses symbolize authenticity and innocence. Handing someone yellow roses shows that you appreciate and value their friendship. Pink roses can be a perfect method to say “thank you” to someone. Peach roses are a shining example of how much you love Valentine’s Day and love providing special somethings to special someones. Or, you can say all of that and more by providing someone a bouquet of roses of each one of the colors. Gifting roses to someone on Valentine’s Day is usually a winning act, but finding the best color to match your feelings can result in a more powerful emotional response than you ever imagined.

When you start to walk into a florist, you will probably feel perplexed by all the selections and choices you will have. Remain calm, and consider that the florists are there to help you make the best choice, and to help keep you from feeling so overwhelmed. The vital thing is that you are ready to display what you are feeling.

Things To Think About When You Are Distributing Roses

When you supply someone roses, you are giving a gift that may evoke powerful emotions. How may you gift them? Should you pick long stem roses, short stem roses, put them in a box, put them in a vase, a single rose, or a dozen or so roses? A lot of people feel roses should be given in a beautiful vase. Then, once the roses have died, the vase will remind the receiver of the beautiful gift each instance he or she uses the vase. Others opt to provide a bouquet of roses or to give long stem roses in a box tied with a large red bow. They also want to put in a card with a very touching and romantic message. This kind of gift giving allows not only the rose to express your feelings, but also the presentation will tell the receiver how you feel.

The ideas don’t get cut off there.

If you wish to inform your special someone that there’s more to come, then hand them the “signature” rose, a bed of baby’s breath surrounding a single rose. And men aren’t the only beings who can buy Valentine’s Day roses. Why not supply roses to your ideal man? Incite love with long stem roses and rose petals (for that romantic trail). Or, you can provide a golden rose, one that was dipped in gold, for a beautiful memento. Find an old box – from wine or chocolates – and present the roses in the box wrapped in string or ribbon. If you are working on Valentine’s Day and can’t be there, have the roses shipped.

Whatever color you choose, despite your mood, Valentine’s Day roses are the International expression of love. You can’t mess up with a centuries-old tradition that has survived the tests of time. If you desire to inform that special someone in your life how you actually feel, Valentine’s Day roses say it without saying a word.

Good Poker: Talent or Discipline?

February 10th, 2010 No comments

Defining talent is an amorphous undertaking. A person’s potentiality quotient is shown by the goal he is aiming for and how close he comes to reaching it. Relying on pure talent to accomplish a goal may work if the goal requires very low standards or is quite simplistic. What separates the good player from the bad in any arena is the intestinal fortitude and tenacity to thoroughly educate themselves on the subject at hand. Almost everyone has potential and may even know their talents, but they do not have the discipline to pursue them.

Top players take a hard look at their abilities and do not run from the strenuous and unfamiliar. They are their own best critics and care about becoming ever better at whatever it is they do. The big winners. as well as everyone else that plays the game. have a sense of what talented play is relative to current poker tradition. What separates them is that they reach beyond whatever talent they have to impose upon themselves a rigorous pattern of discipline.

Successful players practice, practice, practice and learn abundantly from it. This experience and self-education translates into efficient methods of handling every given situation.

Talent without discipline is depending on luck. This is the mark of the amateur. He will play for the adrenaline rush and the thrill of that sure jackpot that’s just around the corner. Talent with discipline aims at reducing chance to its minimum. The expert player has no interest in his adrenaline, he has a profound interest in emptying his opponent’s wallet, no matter how good or bad that opponent is. To the pro, the game is a battle pitched against chance and his opponent’s expertise.

Start with self-searching and analyze carefully what you discover. If you allow yourself to be distraught with the weak points you discover, then deny them for self-preservation, you will not learn from them nor will you overcome them. It is destructive to cling to activities that you have no talent for and to avoid reaching out to find something different that you just might excel in. Some indulge in the fantasy that someday just by hanging around they will gain talent in the activities they are not good at but refuse to admit the truth These guys are a professional poker player’s dream opponents

The first thing a professional poker player does is to decide which poker to play. Limit poker does not engage the same faculties as non-limit poker. It requires patience and caution to play limit poker successfully, since it takes time, requires gradual building up of advantages and information. To be successful at non-limit poker it takes the opposite kind of discipline: a seemingly recklessly maintained aggression which is at the same time well controlled and calculated.

The “talented” non-pro is unable to put constraints on himself, a very common shortcoming. Their focus is on how well they play poker completely ignoring the strategic advantage of getting out when all the signals are there for them to observe and act upon. A good player will not dwell on his “goodness” but will nonetheless maintain a constant winning track record. Being no narcissists, they will know when to fold and do so immediately.

It happens to everybody; sometimes the pressure may be too much to handle, but the good player will be able to recognize this and will always prevent the situation from becoming worse by drawing the right limit.
